Milan Design Week
Fuorisalone and Salone del Mobile: where to stay
Written by people who live here
During Salone del Mobile week, usually in spring, Milan becomes the capital of design: the fair in Rho and the Fuorisalone events all over the city. Staying in the Navigli means having the Tortona district on foot and the rest of the city a few metro stops away.
Why stay in the Navigli during the Fuorisalone
The Tortona district, one of the historic Fuorisalone districts, is close by: beyond Porta Genova, 15-20 minutes on foot from Via Meda. Metro M2 from Porta Genova takes you to Brera and Cadorna, where the M1 leaves for the Rho fair. And in the evening, after the events, you are already in the neighbourhood for aperitifs and dinner.
